Qatar Approved EngineeringIn the event of a fire, toxic smoke and heat are the primary causes of injury. Engineered smoke management and ventilation systems keep escape routes clear and give building occupants vital evacuation time. BANAN International engineers certified life-safety ventilation systems approved by Qatar Civil Defense (QCDD).
We supply, install, and commission staircase and elevator shaft pressurization systems with differential pressure sensors, basement car park induction jet-fan ventilation systems with CO monitoring, industrial kitchen ecology units with electrostatic precipitators (ESP), and high-temperature fire-rated smoke exhaust fans rated at 400°C for 2 hours.

Calculating required stair door opening velocity (>1.0 m/s), pressure differential (50 Pa), and air change rates.
QCDD Life Safety Ventilation Approvals
Submitting fan selection curves, damper locations, and control sequence matrices to Civil Defense officers.
Fan Mounting, Ductwork & Damper Installation
Installing high-temp axial fans, acoustic silencers, fire-rated duct wraps, and motorized smoke dampers.
Differential Pressure & Airflow Balancing
Calibrating pressure relief dampers, barometric dampers, and VFD fan modulation sensors.
QCDD Hot/Cold Smoke Witness Testing
Conducting live smoke generator tests with QCDD inspectors verifying smoke clearance and door opening forces.
